The Fit Tolerance Calculator application provides a valuable tool for calculating the fit tolerances of "holes" and "shafts" based on user-defined diameter inputs. The calculations adhere to ISO standards, ensuring reliability and accuracy in determining fit tolerances.
To utilize the application, users simply need to input a diameter value not exceeding 3150 mm (with a maximum of six digits), select the appropriate tolerance range using the dedicated button, and choose the tolerance class. Following these steps, the application displays the fitting tolerance values for both "hole" and "shaft." Additionally, it identifies the type of fit (clearance fit, transition fit, or interference fit) based on the selected parameters.
For clearance fits, the minimum and maximum clearances are calculated, indicated as positive values; in cases of interference, the values are shown as negative. The following tolerance ranges and grades are offered:
- Tolerance of Hole:
- A, B, C, CD, D, E, EF, F, FG, G, H, JS, J, K, M, ZA, ZB, ZC
- Note 1: A and B holes are not applicable for standard dimensions of 1 mm or less.
- Note 2: JS 7 to JS 11 are rounded down to ensure IT / 2 results in an integer of micrometer units.
- Note 3: The tolerance grade for J holes is limited to IT6 to IT8 only.
- Tolerance of Shaft:
- a, b, c, cd, d, e, ef, f, fg, g, h, js, j, k, m, n, p, r, s, t, u, v, x, za, zb, zc
- Note 4: A and B shafts are not applicable for standard dimensions of 1 mm or less.
- Note 5: JS 7 to JS 11 values are rounded down to maintain integer results in micrometer units for IT / 2.
- Note 6: The tolerance grade for J shafts is restricted to IT5 to IT8 only.
- Tolerance Grade:
- IT 1 to IT 18
- Note 7: Tolerance grades IT14 to IT18 do not apply for standard dimensions of 1 mm or less.
- Note 8: Tolerance values for grades IT1 to IT5 concerning reference dimensions exceeding 500 mm are provisional for experimental purposes.
